Circles on the lawn and another great summer day.

Where are we today ?
clic a pic to enlarge it
Last night stayed outside until about 7:30 then the mosquitoes appeared , time to head inside. First time this year. So no real complaints.
Up nice and early as usual, got the garbage out to the road by 7 am they shortly after that I headed out for a walkabout town, Different route today and chatted with a few friends along the way. Passed by buddy Marc's house and he was digging his garden in the front yard. He stopped for a while, we chatted and enjoyed a coffee together in the sunshine by the pool in their backyard.
Time to head home and passed Debbie walking around town as well have not seen her for  awhile she used to work with me in my restaurant back in the early 90's . Nice to catch up and chat with her as well. Finally back home by 9:30 just over 2 miles walked in 90 minutes, lol...
Soon we enjoyed a nice light lunch then I went to the Thrift store in New Hamburg to donate some clothing from Suzie, and stopped by the Sobeys store to check for more of the crackers we like, I picked up another 12 boxes total 31, about another 10 or so and we will be set for the winter.
got out of my car at the Thrift store and this right beside the car
gave me a startled
, looks pretty real doesn't it ?
Back home on a another perfect comfortable warm sunny day about 75 F . Seeing as we are leaving here Monday I wanted to mow the lawns one more time. So today I spent and hour at the far end of the yard an acre or so. This one I can do the edges and then the circles I enjoy, that was all done in less than and hour, perfect, enough for today, Tomorrow I plan the middle of the yard and Sunday around the house and pool.
mowing is circles is quicker and more fun
Now to enjoy our page turners outside in the shade on a wonderful quiet summer day. And a Happy hour before whipping up supper.
12 more boxes picked up today
almost enough for the winter down south
Tonight going to grill a couple of thin bone in pork chops, So quick and easy. The trick with these thin chops  is grill only one side 3-4 minutes don't turn over and they will be tasty, juicy, tender and not overdone. To add to that I  made some grilled Balsamic Mushrooms , for the recipe you can click HERE  or my recipe blog top right sidebar. Also our usual yummy salad hit the spot tonight.
chops and mushrooms done in less than 4 minutes
we really enjoyed these mushrooms
a nice treat
 a very tasty supper
Now to relax outside after this posting and more page turners enjoyed on our e-readers.
Last night about 7:30 I hopped in the car and down the road to see if I could catch a bit of a sunset and this below was it for the night.
last nights sunset
Then watching Tv was the perfect time to share this piece of Elderberry pie we brought home from Anna Mae's On Wednesday.
Oh My this was awesome
Glad that your came by for a visit and hope you enjoyed a wonderful day as well.

  2. I just mentioned to Croft that you guys are good at showcasing your meals! Another good one today! I was concerned when I saw the title of your blog. I was thinking, hmmm, aliens, as in crop circles :)

  4. The skunk does look like the real-deal. We had a next under the porch, they were good neighbors and kept the other rodents at bay. The chops look good, but I'll take the pie! Picked up a couple Julian Apple Mountain Berry pies for the BBQ here tomorrow ... my favorite! and I know you enjoy them too!

    1. The skunk was real at one time, they do keep the rodents away and are nice as long as they don't spray. The whole meal was tasty thanks. We love the Apple mountain berry pie as well, Always have a slice when we go to Julian.

    1. The circles do make it look more interesting. We have mushrooms everyday in our salads, and The elderberry pie is really our favorite.

  6. Going to have to try the recipe for the mushrooms.
When I saw the skunk I thought of the time a couple of years ago, when I noticed the smell of what I thought was a fire. I was not relieved when it turned out to be my long haired dog who loves to keep the squirrels and raccoons at bay. The joys of dog ownership.

    1. The mushrooms were very tasty and so easy. I have had a few dogs over the years and had to deal with that as well.

Dinner was tasty and love the wild elderberries when we can get them so yummy but a nuisance to clean so tiny.
