No more rain yet, a bit cooler but still a wonderful outside day.

Where are we today ?
clic a pic to enlarge it
Lots of poultry barns in this area
A very mild night again 58F at 6 am gonna be a decent day and no rain yet, A short walkabout then a nice country drive to Strathroy at 8 am for a few groceries, before any traffic and the stores get busy, back home shortly after 9am, That is this project done for the day.
love this Hamlet not far from here
most of our day was like this but pretty warm
and a few sunny periods
Then a light tasty lunch a couple of walkabouts, chat with  a few people and enjoyed our e-readers outside, just because we could. A decent afternoon overcast and about 70F (21C) no  complaints here. Even a few kids playing in the playground, usually climbing those big tires.
Still Sunday and the kids are enjoying outside exercise
We enjoyed a quiet Happy Hour outside then soon time to whip up supper. Preheat our Weber Q with some apple wood chips to cook a tasty bone in turkey breast I picked up today.
can smell the wood chips
the sun is now shining yeah!
Turkey breast done to perfection with the smokey flavour
of the apple wood chips.
added to our salad and cranberry/orange
sauce I had made , was in the freezer
Supper and dishes done we back outside before 7 pm to enjoy a sunny warm  evening. Wrap up this posting and we can enjoy more reading outside listening to the birds chirping and wait for another sunset.
The 2 pictures below were taken after supper last night, Suzie was still in shorts and a bit later we did actually catch other sunset.
a bit cooler tonight, no shorts
most sunsets here are similar but still nice to see.
Glad that ya'll dropped in and hope you enjoyed a nice spring day as well.

  1. Gotta enjoy the wild spring days! Your grill does not have a smoker tray - do you just wrap the wood chips in foil? Clever - Never thought of that!

  3. I Have wood planks for grilling but the skeeters alway chase me back indoors. I did find the grilling mats today so maybe I can get some yard guard and spray the area and enjoy a nice grill up soon. Your turkey breast looks good

    1. Those skeeters sure can soil a nice day outside, we don't get many bugs right where we are,. The turkey was wonderful thanks. The grill mat does a good job for some things that you want to grill especially with sauces.

  4. It was a beautiful day here, mostly hazy sun all day with some heavy clouds off to the southwest.
Our flies are dissipating, still dress for them when outside working but not as bad. Yay!

  6. Wood chips in foil .... another great tip. Think I'll try that. It's amazing to me that all those kids aren't inside playing games with their phones. It's great they are outside getting in some action!!

    1. The chips in foil work pretty good, soak them for at least 30 minutes, wrap in foil, poke some holes in the top and set on a hot grill, close lid, smells wonderful.
It is nice to see the kids outside in the fresh air and getting exercise.

  8. Not a bad way to spend the day. Didn't know you could use wood chips in your Weber Q. I think that's another reason to love your Weber. :c)
