Errands done early and enjoyed a wonderful sunny afternoon.

Where are we today ?
clic a pic to enlarge it
After a busy fun day yesterday and a great time playing darts last night we went to bed much later than usual. Had a great sleep, not surprised that I slept in until 6 am today, another mild overnight. 52F to start the day and did not warm up much at all with mostly overcast skies.  A short walkabout then headed out with errands to run.
this area where we are is filling up
and we do know everyone here
down in the valley in front of us
will fill up later today
Coffees and computing done and I had to run a few errands so took off at 8 am. First to Forest for a couple of things then to Strathroy to renew the licence sticker for our coach. I was surprised when she asked if I wanted a 2 year one. Hmm last year we needed and emissions test ($139.00 because it is a heavy vehicle) and has always been every 2 years. She said not required, ok yeah I will take it! Not sure why, maybe because our coach is now 20 years old? While i was gone Suzie did some spring cleaning inside our coach before to was too nice to stay inside.
Back home by 10:30 we enjoyed a light lunch then puttered around for a bit. Then at noon I went down to the fitness centre here for an hour using these wonderful machines to give all my muscle groups a good workout.
Back home to relax outside in an almost sunny spot out of the wind enjoying our e-readers. watching as the campground is beginning to fill up for this Victoria Day long weekend. (the May 24) First long weekend of the summer when most all the campgrounds are open and pretty full. But being members here we can always get a campsite even at the last minute another bonus of our membership here at Rock Glen. A few friends dropped by to chat, first Ron then Joe, while we enjoyed this very nice afternoon in the sun reading.
Joe stopped by with Choco
and he had to go see Suzie
then Choco gave me a nice smile
such a cute face
Our afternoon view in the warm sunshine
A bit later Maintenance guy here John stopped by to chat for a few minutes. he does a lot of wild animal rescues and has done for years. He rescued a couple of Baby Raccoons where the mother had died, he has managed to keep this one alive and is nursing it back to health, such cute babies these are he brought it by to show us, John really knows how to take care of these animals.
This guys is 4 weeks old his eyes are just opening
too cute
This is the spot we can enjoy the afternoon sun and out of the wind , still only 55F but quite comfortable.
the warm sunshine makes all this perfect
Soon time to whip up supper, tonight a shrimp burger for Suzie and a Chorizo burger for me, plus she wanted some french fries. So fresh cut fries it is, 2 potatoes cut up and our fry daddy does a great job  making them nice a crispy. We like English muffins for our burgers, they are reasonable, and have more than one use. Especially when we only have a burger occasionally and keep fresh for a long time.
Not long we have a tasty meal
english muffins in foil to warm up
there we go our burger and fries,
yummy
A very nice productive day again getting few things done and enjoying some pretty decent weather on a mostly sunny afternoon.
This posting is done early if we get a nice sunset tonight I will show you tomorrow.
Want to thank y'all for dropping by and hope you enjoyed you spring time day as well.

  2. That baby raccoon is so cute! We have raccoons in the park and I often see a very large adult one when I'm walking in the morning but I have never seen babies.

  4. For the emissions test, on April 1 of this year Ontario stopped them for passenger vehicles. In Ontario all RVs with a motor are licensed as a passenger vehicle, thus no more emission tests for them.

  5. Interesting about emissions tests, up here, they aren't and weren't needed. We were happy for the change when we moved up here 3 years ago.
It wasn't too bad of a day, chilly wind but nice for working outside. Too cool to sit without a wind break.

    1. We have not needed one for the car for quite a few years, just the heavy vehicle rv, now that is exempt. Much more reasonable now. We do have a few nice windbreaks here so was quite nice.

  6. Like the little raccoon, we had a baby opossum in the side yard for a while that we cared for - all so cute when they're little

  7. Nice no more emission testing for the motorhome! We don't have any testing where we live, but the more populated counties do. Another reason for rural living LOL> Dinner looks awesome! Ken prefers his on english muffins too. Those fries look extra good! I'm sure you'll have lots of kiddies using that playground equipment this weekend. Enjoy ;)

    1. it is nice that we don't need that testing, it was just a money grab for the government here. Dinner was very tasty thanks and the fries extra good. We prefer the english muffins much less "bread".
There is lotsa kiddies here in the park enjoying the great outdoor life, so nice to see.

  9. The raccoon is cute but if he is raising it as a pet he best cut those sharp claws soon.
