Cactus Characters, warm temps, and some minor coach repairs.

Where are we today ?
Another great day here in the desert sure can't beat that. Early walkabouts just enjoying the peace a quiet here and more excellent sunrises. Just checking out the scenery to see what I can see. Came across a few interesting Saguaro cactus formations looking like fun characters. Let me know what you think?
2 arms, eyes, ears and eyebrows
crooked mouth maybe?
have a gift for you?
and of course the sunrise
Had an appointment for 10 am at Rv lifestyles just down the road about a mile to have a new fan motor installed in our furnace. It was squealing something fierce.
good service and reasonable prices
they also sell and service atv's as well
We were taken in right away at 10 am sharp am Mike the mechanic got right to work. I was able to watch how he did it and glad it was him and not me.very friendly and also gave me a few tips for service.
the furnace cover
he has the right tools and knows his job.
not easy but got it done

While here got him to replace the pressure relief valve for our hot water tank as well. Its been leaking for quite a while. Again he had the right tools.
fan motor on left almost ceased and the relief valve
calcium built up after 16 years hard water
Now that was done right and all works like it is supposed to, Furnace runs super quiet and no more water leaks. Done in 90  minutes $150.00 parts and a bit less for labor. Thats US dollars about another 40% for us Canadians but needed to be done and we are happy with the work and service here. We good to go now.
While this was being done Suzie headed down to Main street and got her hair trimmed like she does 2-3 times a year, very friendly there a reasonable too.
Back the same spot we were at before just down the road (free camping), set up made lunch and Suzie back to the Chiropractor for a 12:30 adjustment.
back to home dirt
for the rest of the day
this bird kept hanging around
all afternoon, singing for us
Did managed to get some more quality reading time in the shade until time to fire up our Weber Q. Grill a couple Garlic Turkey sausage added to our salad for supper.
love this garlic sausage
And just as supper was done we got to enjoy another colorful desert sunset.
this is what we love about the southwest
Just more fun in the sun, not humid, not too hot, free camping and we got some repairs done too.
Tomorrow we head about 90 miles south just west of Yuma to Pilot Knob Resort for 2 weeks. More free camping.
        Thanks for stopping by again.

    1. We got them done when convenient rather than in an emergency. If it's not right I want to make it that way.

  5. Crikey ..... sounds like a good day to me. Those cactus blokes sure look good. Mum would like to see them in the wild. We only see em in pots here and they're tiny wee compared to those blokes. I'd pee on 'em!! After I got stuck into one of your garlic sausages that is!!

    1. We are enjoying it that's why we are here early. We are used to the January crowds and can get around that too.

  12. Nice to have the furnace repaired especially with those cold mornings that Arizona has been having this past little while.

I just got my annual haircut today, the last one I had was a year ago November, I was well over due!

    1. We only run the furnace for about 15 minutes in the morning just to help out the Mr Heater.
With long hair even a bit of a trim keeps it healthier.
