What a wonderful day we are going to have, amazing desert sunrises and sunsets. So quiet and clear skies warm temps, up to about 72 today love the sunshine.
Have had a few requests about Bloggerfest this year. I was planning last year with Teri and Jeri  to put this small get together and see how it turned out. Bloggers meet Bloggers etc. Well it was a huge success and some people like us could could not make it. So let's try again not hard to do pick a date, time and place and people will be there or not no matter we can do that. Hopefully a lot of bloggers or followers or anyone that wants to meet us characters.
Jan and Bill stepped in and helped out as well as Jim and Sandie.
This year Jan is my backup but we do not have a backup for Jan yet, just in case ya know. Anyone interested, just in case? You can also find both of us on facebook, twitter, Rvillage and G+.
Feel free to share this poster or promote on your blog or anyway you like, just so the word gets out there.
Now this morning a beautiful desert sunrise right through our windshield.
love the sunrises here in the desert
ultralight  over us this morning
Then a I made a quick trip into town to check out a few stores and pick up a few things. Like to use the local merchants as much as possible. And check out some of the neat sights that happen only here mostly.
like this rv?
local transportation
Then stopped by where the BIG Tent will be, pretty barren right now.
no BIG TENT yet
After lunch we went for a walkabout, spotted this truck we recognized and sure enough it was Charlie (of Ginnette and Charlie) friends from Ontario that we have not seen since at Pilot knob last winter. He stopped to chat for a bit, so nice to see him and Toby again, Ginnete was back at their RV.
Charlie's nice truck
While chatting with him another vehicle stopped. and the people got out, Hi George!  They have been following our Blog and we follow theirs. TDhomsstead   . Talk about a small world! It was a short visit but so nice to finally meet them. Spotted here in the desert!
Dianne and Tom
Continued our walk for a bit then back home to enjoy the afternoon sunshine, quiet time and our e-readers.
is this a rock garden ?
Then as the day progresses and a couple more walkabouts fire up our Weber Q 100 to grill a couple smoked pork chops that I picked up at the Quartzsite Market butcher counter. always count on them to be here.
2-3 minutes a side,
perfect
add our salad
hit the spot
As our supper was finished we enjoyed a wonderful sunset like we can only see here in the desert.  Sunrises and sunsets are amazing!
Thats it for a fun day here just relaxing in the desert in Quartzsite. Just love it here, cool nights and warm sunny days.
Thanks for stopping by, nice to hear from you again.

  2. Glad you got to meet Dianne & Tom. Also, happy that you decided to go ahead and host the Bloggerfest 2016. We're in Florida this year so won't be able to carry it on again in 2016. We had a good turnout in 2015 but certainly missed you.

The smoked chops were delicious, so tender and moist if not overcooked.

  5. Glad you are finally able to sit and relax for a while.
Wish we were at the Q with its sunny skies. We haven't seen the sun yet today because of the fog. We'll definitely be there next year.

    1. Thank you guys.
Contact cards, business cards, most rv'ers have some made up or me actually print our own to hand out to people we meet, with small picture or yourselves or rigs, e-mail address and a phone number.
