Weekend is over and nice and quiet here.

Where are we today ?
What did we do today? Nothing much. Up early many walkabouts, no groceries, and chat with a few people here and there.
Lotta computing time for Suzie setting up her I-pad mini and downloading books. We had an issue with the USB cable not releasing from her laptop. Checked with a few people here and even Rick Doyle. But I did find a solution on line. It is a problem with the new Apple USB plugs, but is a relatively easy fix. If you need click HERE for the fix, worked for us.
These issues taken care of more walkabouts visit the gym and enjoy my KOBO Aura E book out side. Really getting to like the KOBO no glare in the direct sunshine and can read it at night with no lights on, has its own light and is so lightweight and easy to hold.
A couple people said they might drop by for a visit, but did not matter we here anyway, real easy to stop reading for a social time.
Suzie actually got to do some reading time
 and not on her computer
Supper tonight had a craving for some pasta, so whipped a pot of spaghetti sauce with ground chicken and a whole mess of veggies, fresh mushrooms, onions, yellow and orange peppers, celery and carrots.  Added that to a nice salad and we got our fix, lottsa leftover sauce in the freezer. And a bowl of pasta for my lunch tomorrow.
did the trick
After the weekend its pretty quiet here, something we really enjoy.
Glad you could drop by for a visit.

  2. Thanks for answering my questions about the e-reader. I know nothing about the KOBO Aura, but sounds like the right one for our lifestyle.

I do have a sewing machine. If he wouldn't mind and has the instructions, I would love to have them. If it is confidential, I totally understand.

    1. It was Dicks wife Raye that made them, no secret but they left this morning. Just like a quilt with two layers and some cotton between, sewed some darts to make it lift up.
Sure you can find a pattern on line.

  4. Nice that your e reader has its own light, my Kindle Paperwhite has that feature too and I love it. Plus, it works great as a flashlight at night. ;c)

  5. I like it after the weekend too. It's quiet and everyone is gone. Of course, the weekend returns in five days. That's just not long enough.

    1. I am sure I could work something out but just easier to cook on the stove in pots and pans.

  8. You now have me wanting a plate of spaghetti. I watched the stuck cable video, but can't remember that last time I had a shirt with stays :-)
