Join us as we travel North America in our Holiday Rambler Vacationer, since August. 2006
A morning walkabout and quick drive into town for a few things then we said goodbye to Warren and Joyce as they packed up. We walked back to our house and had lunch then the rain came. For a couple of hours we had a very heavy rain, and were able to sit inside and watch all the dust get washed away.
Finally another afternoon that we can stay inside (its not too nice out), so I set out to see if I could partition the hard drive on my Mac (computer) with Bootcamp and install Windows XP. I researched articles on this process and was quite happy when the install was complete and I now have the best of both worlds, A Mac computer that I can run Windows on for the one program we use, Microsoft Streets and Trips. to plan all of our travels.
Now at 4:00 pm the sun came out so we had Frank and Heather over for happy hour, then a phone call from Dave and Sharry-lynn, they are coming to camp with us. An hour and half later they arrived. Well there was no empty campsites close to us so we decided to park their coach on our lot, nice and handy and free. Its great to see friends and spend some time with them. For supper we cooked up some sausage on a bun, french fries and veggies and dip. As we were chatting after supper Ron and Karen walked by with their dogs and stopped for a visit as well. We got out our propane fire pit so we could sit under the awning to keep dry and warm from the rain sprinkles on a cool evening. Another nice evening with friends.
