Sunny but still cold, no matter, we are busy anyway.

Where are we today ?
Cold again last night, frost this morning, but again we toasty warm in our house. Our Coach is made for this weather with dual pane windows, extra insulation and heated holding tanks.
First thing this morning after a walkabout, coffees and computing was to be at Pettigrew's Garage in town shortly after 7:30 am to get our car serviced for the winter.
Then picked up Suzie at 9 am and head into Ma's house Suzie pack up a the rest more items to go away. I made another trip to the dump, empty boxes, garbage etc...
Back home by noon for lunch. Then I need to mow some lawn here, a good day for it. Issue is the mower deck only runs about 35 minutes then I need to put it back on the battery charger. (Charging problem). So while doing this I boiled up some pasta for our Sunday thanksgiving  get together with Suzie's family. Done and cooling I dropped her off at her Mom and Dad's in New Hamburg so she could help them purge items for their house, senior's home soon for them too.
Then I made a quick run to Ma's in Kitchener, disconnect her new Tv converter and hook up the old one. And helped her with a couple computer issues. She will return the x box to the Rogers Store. Back to New Hamburg drop off the prescription request for 6 months away, pick up a few groceries and gas for the lawn mower. Grabbed Suzie and mowed the lawn for another 35 minutes (takes 3-4 hours total). So I have to do it in stages.
Now I can fire up our Weber Q , grill a couple Turkey burgers and yellow sweet peppers for supper.
Turkey Burgers and a tasty salad, yummy
Supper done then I finished prepping my Macaroni (pasta) salad. This time I used Gluten free Macaroni for those attending the family function on Sunday. Tastes just as good as far as we are concerned. For the recipe you check it out by clicking the recipe next Macaroni Salad . Or my  Recipe blog on the sidebar. Best made a day or two ahead for the flavors to blend together.
a tasty refreshing salad
Finally got things done by 8 o'clock so now think we can relax a bit before calling it a night. Ready for another busy day again tomorrow. We are retired right?????? Any who we had a very productive day.
Thanks again for stopping on by, soon we will be heading south and away from this too cold weather here in Ontario 14 days and counting.

  1. Thanks for the macaroni salad recipe George! We love salads!
And thank goodness you are retired, otherwise you would never have time to get all you do done! How did we ever do it all when we worked?

    1. Don't get much tired, just try to fit things into our days, so it will be much quieter.

    2. We agree with you on the gluten free pasta, to us it tastes better than regular pasta and seems to be less starchy.

Definitely sounds like a busy day but soon enough you will be relaxing.

  5. Your fixin's look delicious, as always! And yes, it sure makes a difference when a coach is built for cold or hot weather... those windows and insulation are great for both.

  6. How is the grass going to get cut when you leave for the Southwest? Oh yeah, I forgot, it'll be buried under six feet of snow and have to be shoveled off first... :cD
