Got things done on a sunny fall day

Where are we today ?
clic a pic to enlarge it
Last night was on and off for sleep but we did get a not bad rest at least. Hoping for better,
We are making progress, have an appointment with our family doctor this Thursday at 1 Pm. Also got and email from the London liver specialist at CLIPS, he had reviewed all my tests in the hospital, contacted our family doctor and is arranging with Stratford Hospital to have my liver biopsy done there, plus blood work here as well. This is all good news.
Shortly after 9am, today we took the coach the Stratford to top up our fuel tank and well as our propane that said it was empty, Got that done and stopped at the Tavistock dump station to empty our sewage. Back hone by11am a light lunch then into the the eye surgeon in Kitchener to get measurements done for my cataract surgery in the spring.
Sure was nice to take the coach for a drive on the sunny fall day.
back roads to Stratford
We are looking for winter accommodation locally and there seems to be nothing at all in this area at all. Stratford, Tavistock, New Hamburg and Plattsville. We have tapped most of the resources and no luck yet. We have an option in Arkona , but Suzie would like to be closer to her family for support and I understand that. So this is a project in motion for us right now. We still have a bit of time before we need to settle down.
On the way home we stopped in New Hamburg No frills for a few groceries, the pharmacy for  a few items, fuel the car and Dollar store for Suzie,  Back here home in Tavi just after 3 pm to relax, especially for me. I am whipped? No energy at all.
Then Suzie sat outside with her sister for a nice Happy Hour I was going to but felt kinda chilly so inside I stayed and will soon whip up a light supper, hoping I can eat some.I actually did join them for a few minutes when Ross came home then inside yo make a small salad ti go with our Turkey Garlic sausage.

  1. I did not consider the parks up there close for winter, here in SoCal they get busier ;)
I hope you'll find a spot soon so you can have a base to call home.

  2. Are you looking for RV accommodation? I believe that that would be very cold in the winter even skirted in. Nice to hear that you got out in the RV and got it all filled up and emptied. Soon you will be busy with a variety of medical appointments. Sorry that you are not eating much, you do need to get some good protein into your body as best you can. You might want to take a look at those protein drinks like Boost.

    1. It was nice to get out in the coach, I do have some ensure that seems to be helping . Staying in the coach is our last option, have not found a place with winter water and sewage,

    2. So you are having trouble finding an apartment or home to rent?

  3. I'm guessing that was the Harmony Road you were on with the Motorhome. I agree with Contessa, Boost might be a good idea. Glad to see things are coming together quickly in the medical field. After your tests the medical folks can get a plan together and bring you up to speed on the diagnosis and what they are going to do to help you. It's the unknown that is difficult so hopefully they will have some answers for you soon.

    1. We are working of a winter place, we do have a mobile we can rent for the winter but is 90 minutes away in Ontario's snow belt, could be stranded there a few times.
The appointments are coming so making progression that direction at least. Thanks JO for the thoughts.

  8. Glad the biopsies can be done in Stratford for you! Certainly understand Suzie wanting to be closer to family and it sounds like 90 minutes away and the snow belt doesn't sound good! With all your followers maybe someone will come up with something close by! We're thinking about you :)

    1. Nice the Stratford hospital is only about 15 minutes away and here family is close by here as well. A couple of local followers have offered some short term house sitting but not long enough. This is still snow country as well, but we may be able to find a place in Stratford that would be real handy.

  9. Hope all goes well with you with your medical problems. I know how you feel. I just had three stents put in one artery to my heart and will have to go back to get the other artery done.

  10. You have an excellent health system glad they are making quick strides to make you better again. Bet the ride into town to take care of things was in a way calming with that beautiful scenery and nice back roads.

My very best to you and Suzy.
