Mowed some lawn then heavy rain and no more leaks in our awning.

Where are we today ?
Just got stuff done today that needed to be done. Ran a few errands this morning picked up mail and a few groceries and bite to eat here for lunch. While it was not raining yet I hopped on the mower and cut a few acres of grass. Until close to 3 pm when it began to sprinkle.
Mower in the shed and walked back to our coach, returned a few phone calls then was actually able to get some nice reading time in, (it's been a few days I think). By 3:30 the rains began, and really came down for quite a while. Tested out the waterproofing I did on our awning this past Monday. Hey that stuff works! We are impressed with this product. I brushed our whole awning when we had a nice warm sunny dry day.
The water beads up and rolls off our acrylic awning now and no leaks, no drips on our heads, Just the way it used to be. Still standing up pretty good for 15 years of wear and tear. We were able to enjoy reading outside with the it raining and not get wet now, love it!
rained real heavy for quite a while.
Then time to fire up our Weber Q and grill a huge chicken breast and sweet potato slices, add a nice side salad, really took care of those hunger pains.
After supper into Ma's house with daughter number 2 and the boys, checked out some items she would like from the house. Then we took them to visit Ma at her new digs. Had a little snack and a very nice visit with her.
Back home here to "camp awesome" and dark outside, still raining, so inside to wrap up this posting and call it a day.
         Thanks again for your visit.

  1. May just have to get us some of that waterproofing stuff for the Bungalow. Glad you found time for some reading.

  2. It dropped 15 degrees in Indiana.
I wonder if that silicone waterproof would work on a jacket.

    1. It is made for nylon tents, awnings, sleeping bags and other items made of lightweight and synthetic fabrics, so I would say yes to a jacket, comes in a spay can as well.

    1. You probably have a vinyl awning and this would not work on it. Ours is Acrylic kinda like a light canvas, much more expensive than the vinyl, but came with our coach, and we really like it. Does not get mouldy and they do last longer.

  4. That waterproofing stuff was money well spent! You're now going to dislike having to roll it up and hit the road because you're enjoying sitting under it high and dry so much! ;c)

    1. It was much less expensive than a new awning, still get some more life out of it yet.

    1. It still is in great shape just some water dripping in a few spots, in the canvas like material.

  6. We had to replace our awning last year. However, we just ordered a new one over the internet and it wasn't bad.
