Where did the day go?

Where are we today ?
New Hamburg Ontario
We started with a bright sunny morning, warm and wonderful and guess what it? It stayed like that all day.  We just puttered around and did a few things here and there, I waxed a bit more of our coach today, the front and passenger side is all done. I waxed a bit, chatted for a bit, did a bit more then before we knew it was mid afternoon.  Noticed the creek was almost back to normal compared to yesterday when the cow was stranded.

I was at the No Frills store yesterday and they had a deal on pork loin roasts, only $1.00 a lb. So I picked up a couple 6 pound roasts and wanted to try a new recipe. A pork loin roast stuffed with sausage, bacon, apples and spinach.
this 1/2  of a six pound roast
I butterflied it to about 1/2 inch thick
made the stuffing
Then rolled it like a jelly roll and tied it up
in the oven for about 80 minutes and done to perfection

added some mashed potatoes, veggies and a sliced tomato
Ok now I tried that recipe, it was a success, very tasty and we were satisfied with full tummies. Then we headed into Kitchener to visit Suzie's Mom and bring her father back home to New Hamburg after his full day of visiting at the hospital.

Now time to call it another great day, weather is getting much better, no rain today!

Glad you took time to visit and hope you had a great day as well.

You can  go the the recipe tab at the top for the complete recipe if you wish.

  2. Read the recipe and I certainly think you must have been a chef in your other life. What a deal on the port roast though. You don't see them that cheap often!

    1. Yes it was a super deal. No chef, but I love to cook and had a small restaurant for 10 years.
