Flush our hot water tank and more wonderful summer weather.

          Just more wonderful warm summer weather again today after some heavy rains overnight. Was so nice and refreshing outside this morning , about 7 am close to 75f and humid, smells so fresh after a nice overnight rain. Walkabouts for a while then headed into town for some food supplies, the usual fresh fruit and veggies. But did find a good deal on pork side ribs $1:97 a lb. can't turn that down so 1/2 of that slab will be tonights supper.
         Shopping done and home for a light lunch then decided to flush out our hot water tank, it's been a while, I think a year ago last january in Desert Hot Springs California, before our speedy trip home in January. I removed the plug and inserted the wand I bought at a yard sale for .50 cents. Does a great job flushing out all the hard water build up in our tank.

      The old plastic plug below is garbage, even though it looks pretty good. I learned my lesson a long time ago. Do not put it back in will probably break off and then there is a brand new issue. Been there done that! This is an Atwood water heater does not require an anode rod, our hot water tank is now 17 years old and works wonderfully with regular maintenance. Once I put in a metal plug and it was seized, and did cause issues, luckily no damage.

         Nice, warm,  sunny day enjoy our e-readers and a nice dip in the  quiet pool and soak in the hot tub. Before the Canada weekend crowds begin to arrive on Thursday night, no pool time then.

       More relaxing in the shade so peaceful and we can enjoy every minute of it.

         After my swim I prepped our ribs in sauerkraut with spices wrapped in foil. Couple hours on our Weber Q then ready to scoop out the kraut and set on our grill mat . For the recipe click HERE or my recipe blog top right side bar for Pork Ribs on the Q

         Now that was a wonderful relaxing day here enjoying this heat and humidity, just the way we love it. Outside in the shade.
