A nice relaxing very warm sunny day the reason we are here.

Where are we today ?
clic a pic to enlarge it
A very nice start to a warm sunny day. was 56F at 7:30 this morning so a nice long walkabout the park here just over a mile so far. Then about 9:30 Suzie wanted to check out Walmart for a few things, she had no luck, so drove around Gainesville and back home by 10 30. . time for a light lunch.
love the blossoms on this tree
up close maybe a cheery tree ?
On my walkabout I heard a rooster, came from this campsite ,they have some  chickens here ! Now that is amazing ! Not every campground you go to have a chicken coop.
the rooster in there
they get out and about
Passed by this site and birds everywhere in the trees and on the ground too cool.
Back to our wonderful campsite so nice and quiet here. Some road noise from I-35 and the odd train come by west of us but we can deal with that mostly during the day. Never heard noise at night.
we do have a nice large pull though site here
After lunch I took a drive around the huge Casino and located the rv Park, lots of very nice large campsites there with full hook ups. Then around the Casino past the 2 hotel towers, man this is a huge place!
nice large campsites here
entrance to the casino
Back home again checked our tire pressures and oil had a nice long hot shower, dumped our sewage, getting ready to head the road in the morning, then outside in the shade . 77F and our awning deployed for some comfortable shade. Started a new book again another in the Prey Series (Buried Prey) of the John Sanford books I have,  number 21 of the 25 books with Lucas Davenport solving all these amazing investigations. Enjoying this awesome spring weather.
another page turner
Now to relax and our afternoon view here in the shade, clear blue sunny skies are amazing.
a perfect sunny spring day
Over by the clubhouse I spotted this smoker here and a staff member came by and said you are welcome to use it anytime ! Wow had I known I would have made use of this. maybe make some tasty smoked meat.
this smoker would have been fun to use.
they do have a horseshoe pit here too with shoes
We enjoyed a nice Happy hour for a bit then time to whip up supper. Tonight the rest of our shrimp boudin we bought on Biloxi Ms. Another treat we will enjoy.
this be the end of our Boudin for now
love the Cajun food
1/2 a pound here enough for us to share
added to our salad did the trick tonight, just right
Still outside here finishing this blog posting 7:30 pm 65F no wind and still in shorts, this is the weather we are here for , hope it follows us home.
Then we did get another nice sunset  to wrap up another perfect day before we hit the road in the morning.
just another ,wonderful sunset here
Want to thank y'all, for joining us today and hope you had a wonderful day as well

  2. If you use the campsites with full hook-ups at the Casino do you have to pay for them or are they free? It has been YEARS since I have had the priviledge of eating some. Glad you guys were able to enjoy some.

    1. The campsites at the casino you have to pay for I think $30. a night It is like a regular campground clubhouse and all. The Boudin was very tasty will have to look for more.

  3. Travel dogs, cats, birds, fish are on various blogs ... but chickens? Now somebody likes fresh eggs!
I've heard of Shrimp Boudin, seems an interesting combination of spices in the sausage.
Safe travels as you move on!

  4. I am one day behind. That was one large casino...a mini Las Vegas under one roof.
Sounds like a perfect weather day. I hope it follows you home, also, and if you could drop some off in Michigan we would appreciate it. Safe Travels.

  6. I'm always amazed at something I see in places I'd never expect to see them. Hahaha, chickens and a rooster in a campground is a new one.
It looks like a lovely little park you're found there. You seem to find some pretty neat little spots. Safe travels as you continue on down the road.

The chickens and Rooster is anew one for us though we have seen miniature horses and pot belly pigs in campgrounds over the years. This is a nice campground another membership on cost us 2 bucks a night with FHU's and free wifi.
