Champagne breakfast, cooler weather and wildlife in the park.

Where are we today ?
clic a pic to enlarge it
Very windy last night up to 25 mph and a cold north wind this morning only 52f. I bundled up for my first walkabout enjoying the cool fresh morning air, even though kinda chilly. I did notice a few tell tale traces of burrows wandering through the park. Made a large deposit behind a trailer just a few sites down from us. Yes they are in the area alright. And later this afternoon we saw a family of  wild burrows.
HI MAMA !
And she brought 3 young ones with her
Next walkabout  the views and a nice sunrise cross the river this morning and along the beach. Really whats' not to love about this area?
love the beach here too
With all the wind last night and this morning the palm trees were shedding. As I noticed around the park.
Then at 8:15am we wandered over to the Tiki Bar for our very first ever Champagne Breakfast which consisted of Ham, eggs, potatoes, danish, coffee, juice and Champagne for only $5.99 each. What a nice treat, hot, tasty and filling this will keep us going most of the day.
this sure took care of breakfast and then some
Couple more walkabouts and today is a day to enjoy our e-readers. Nothing once again on the agenda and just fine with  us. I finished one book , read 2 more books (short stories) and settled into another page turner. 4 books in one day !
short story
short story
ok another Patterson book I can get into
Enjoying our books I noticed something strange walking by outbox the corner of my eye.
where is this guy going?
Ok gotta check this out. The family wandered through the campsite next to us and a couple of neighbours as well. These are wild burrows, but used to people and the campgrounds around. They just make themselves at home and eat whatever they can find. We are in their living rooms so why not make them feel at home?
this be a youngster
Apparently they like the leaves that fall from the palm trees and are really having a buffet.
main course it looks like
he looks so lonely
Hmm looks like they found some more interesting food a camper left out some plants and stuff (they are not home).
hey Jack, what do we have here?
desert?
lets check out this table too, more treats!
they cleaned it all up and moved on down the road
was fun to see these guys here
Now back to our reading time after chatting with a few neighbours, Enjoying the view, our books, a few high speed boats and water skiers up and down the river. Just like being at the beach in the summer back home.
love the views of the river from here
But soon time for supper, with only our breakfast feast this morning under our belts, need to eat a bit more. Tonight a couple of Turkey burgers on the grill and Suzie wanted french fries. Heck the Tiki Bar right next store so while I did the burgers she grabbed an order of fries, The burger healthy , the fries not so much. We gotta get outta this place a bad influence me thinks!
burgers on the grill and a couple english muffins warming in foil
that was it very tasty and very filling
Supper done and another nice sunset to wind up a fun relaxing day with some wild company.
another nice sunset, almost every day,
really gotta love it
We did what we wanted today and enjoy it to the fullest, A bit cooler but the wind died down and was in shorts most of the day outside walkabouts reading and chatting with the wildlife, and neighbours  too.
Thank you for taking the time for a read and hope you had a great day as well.

  1. Nice pics of the burros, the remind me of the squirrels at home that will come into your site and make themselves at home if you leave any type of food out ... the burros are just a little bigger :-)

  6. What a hoot to watch the donkeys roam through the park. Maybe the owners of the deserted buffet picnic tables will clean up next time before taking off. The aroma warfting from the tiki bar's cooking must tempt you to no end. I'd be eating all day long ;-)

    1. They are fun to watch roaming around people should always clean up their picnic tables when they are done, not everyone does. The aromas do blow this way glad we are leaving soon. Get away from temptation.

  7. What an awesome breakfast, they sure didn't skimp on the food! Champagne to compliment, yum! The burros would definitely be fun to watch, I'm thinking when you check in, someone must tell you about them and not to leave food out when you leave..I'd say lesson learned for those folks when they got back. Your dinner looks so good, love those fries with the ridges!

    1. The breakfast was a wonderful way to start the day with the Champagne too. Love the burrows. I would think a responsible camper would not leave food our especially when you see signs along the roadways here about wild burros maybe they learned their lesson. Dinner was wonderful thanks and the crinkle fires a bonus too.

  9. Them burros are the cutest things with their sad eyes. Have you been to Oatman, an old RT66 town? Its known for streets full of wild burrows, and lots of other characters.... Watch where you step.
