43 miles north to California and a new place to explore

Where are we today ?
clic a pic to enlarge it
Another beautiful  desert day, and we can travel to a new location Yay ! And another amazing desert sunrise. we are going to miss these. About 7:30 this morning I did one more drive around Quartzsite enjoy the quiet streets and no traffic. Then back home to putter around and secure the coach.
our last sunrise here in Quartzsite
Keuhn St by Tyson Wells pretty quiet now
Quartzsite Main street quiet too
just the way we like it
we are camped out there, lotsa room
No rush at all with only 43 miles to go and gaining an hour into California, we will arrive there before we leave. No need to hook up the car Suzie just followed along with me. Left at 10:50 am and got here at 10:40 am, California time. Headed north on 95 and across the river to California. But this park even though in California they use Arizona time, which is just  fine with us. So actually got here Closet shopping and stores are in Parker Arizona.
north on 95
across the Colorado River
Back in California
north on Parker Dam Road
Checked in and were given a nice pull thru site facing the river and beach one row back. Bonus as well only 2 sites from the pools, spa and  Tiki Bar. A very nice membership campground ($10.00 a night) we have never been to. Right on the shore of the Colorado River with a mile long beach, full hookups and even free wifi at the Tiki Bar.
this be our nice large site
neighbours on the left from Alliston Ontario!
small world
All set up by 11:55 and Suzie said, hey a lunch special today at the Tiki Bar Tacos only $1.49 so over we go. Why not it is lunch time and a treat for a change.
from the bar overlooking one of the pools
wow! 2 soft tacos and 2 draft only 6 bucks
love it !
one taco loaded, what a deal
A pitcher of beer is only $6.00 but at Happy hour only $4.00. man we pay almost $20.00 for that back home. But we not coming back for Happy hour today.
nice large pool area on one side
smaller volleyball pool on the other side
Then we walked over to check out part of the beach a mile long and lots of beach front campsites.
these sites would be amazing
Ok after lunch we can relax in the shade  actually very quiet here and a view of the river. Just a couple of boats and water skiers going up and down.
the river right through there
I cruised around this huge campground in the car over 600 campsites just to get the lay of the land, And back to chat with Suzie and enjoy our e-readers. Did get up to 88F but a 20 mph breeze to keep us cool. Bonus with electricity we get a chance to exercise our air conditioners, the front one for an hour and the rear one for and hour, yup they are working just fine.
Soon time to whip up supper, tonight a couple of tasty salmon fillets and our salad. Just enough after our tasty filling lunch.
salmon on the Weber Q
perfect and so tasty
With a trailer beside us can't see the sunset so had to walk to the back of our coach and just look down the road.
we did get a nice sunset, with palm trees
in the view, a nice change.
43 Miles today a nice short trip
We are spoiling ourselves with this fancy resort blowing the budget at $10.00 a night is a very nice treat for a week. The full hookups is nice and all this stuff but I still miss the wide open spaces of the desert. Another memorable experience and another area for us to check out.
That was our (no long ) travel day and Suzie is loving it a nice change, Lots of power and lots of hot water, she happy me happy.
Thanks for joining us today and hope y'all had a wonderful day as well.
