Rain and winds done, dust gone, sun shining and fellow bloggers joined us.

Where are we today ?
clic a pic to enlarge it

After yesterday's rain the ground was damp and just a few small puddles here and there. Bonus with this rain it will keep the dust down for a bit and wash the dust off our car, motorhome and solar panels.
After the morning coffees and computing got myself a nice walkabout, just me and my shadow. So peaceful here and waiting for the sun to rise, looks like it will be a wonderful day.
sun sneaking over the mountain
bang there it is !
shining on the mountains to the west
my silent shadow right here with me
After puttering around for a bit more I headed into Blythe California for some groceries at Albertson's, we can't get here in town about a 25 minute drive west on I-10 over the mountain pass and into Blythe.
through the mountain pass
Back home in plenty of time and we enjoyed a nice light lunch. Right after lunch I took drive around the area heading south to see how far in actually goes back there, Right past the Magic Circle to the boundary, were it becomes a day use area only.
With this sunshine our solar had a full charge long before noon, perfect. So I topped them up and set them to equalize for an hour.
the Magic circle, I have too many clothes on to go there lol...
and don't want to scare people
Back home now to relax and enjoy our e-readers and soak up some sun. Minimal clothes on, Shorts, t-shirt and sandals works for me.
what a wonderful sunny day
nice view of this vast desert
A bit later we had some friends (bloggers) pull in and join us, Tom and Deb.(Celebrating the dance) in their Stinger B.
can't miss their rig the Stinger B
We all chatted with them for a bit then time to whip up supper. Tonight a couple of smoked pork chops, and spaghetti squash with butter, Italian spice and parmesan cheese. (Suzie loves this) Thanks Deb for the suggestion.
smoked chop squash and tasty salad, yummy
As supper was finishing cooking we got to enjoy yet another wonderful desert sunset.
A very nice desert day again only about 65F but in the sun with only a light breeze felt much warmer, wonderful .
No complaints here at all, not cold, not windy and not raining plus a very sunny day makes us feel awesome! Vitamin D naturally.
Thanks for stopping on by and hope you enjoyed your day as well.

  2. An excellent day for certain. You are most welcome. You will see we put a sprinkle of Parm cheese on many things, just gives it a hint of flavour.

I like driving that mountain pass area to Blythe. It's an interesting drive and they have some inexpensive fuel out that way as well just before the California state line.

Nice to see that Tom and Deb arrived safely.

The drive to Blythe is a nice one and I cruise around this funky town, and pick up some groceries.

  4. We've stayed at Q many times in the past and made that route into Blythe for groceries often. We've also checked out the optional clothing areas. Love the nice weather.

    1. Nice that we can whip over to Blythe to stock up with things we can get here in Q.
With this great weather clothing can be optional. Nice that they have an area where it is accepted.

  5. Yeah thinking i'll stay away from the Magic Circle too..(even though I can see being a little curious)..haha..Great that Blythe isn't too far and you have better shopping when you need it. Your dinner looked fabulous! (as always)..The sunrise and sunset are gorgeous. Good to have some of the dust away for a bit.

    1. I can be curious as well, but not enough to go wandering in there.
Most everything you need is not far away. From this wonderful place to spend some time.
Nice that the rain cleaned things up a bit now too.

    1. Nope just add the butter, spice and Parm wrap in foil set on the grill 20 minutes or so until done, too easy.

  8. Strange how one side of California is basking in beautiful weather while the other side is all mayhem...

  9. We're down in ImpDam for a bit before we move up to Quartzsite. We got some rain and wind but barely enough to dampen the desert, no where near what you got up there judging by your pics. Steve&Jane/RollingFromWasaga
