Wonderful sunrise and sunset and in between was excellent as well.

Where are we today ?
clic a pic to enlarge it
At 5 am this morning it was 29 F (-1c)  outside but like usual we toasty warm and with the sunrise soon it will begin to warm up very nicely.
Headed  out for a nice morning walkabout just after 7 am down by the lake here in the campground, looking for a nice sunrise and found one.
a mess of pelicans gathered here and another one in front
of the sunrise ready to land.
Back home and Suzie wanted me to make some small loafs with this blueberry muffin mix that we love and can only buy here in the states. Easy and quick to do and oh so very tasty.
7 loafs made 6 wrapped up and in our freezer
After a quick trip to town I did another walkabout in the daylight , lots of seasonal rv's here and most are under these covers. Protect from the sun and the tornadoes that can happen here.

After lunch I cleaned and repainted the windshield wiper arms on our coach. Another thing that bugged me, the paint was coming off and beginning to rust. So a quick coat of rust proof paint makes them, look like new again and protects them
looking like new again
Now we can relax in the sun and shade, got to 70 F (in the shade) and was wonderful clear blue cloudless skies = perfect. Enjoying our e-readers.
Chatted with some new neighbours that pulled in beside us. Local people that have been travelling to a lot of places that we go , Ken and Shirley.
Now with Halloween almost here what did we have? A black cat walk right by our site, is that an omen or what?
hmm....
Soon time to whip up supper, So I made our tasty salad and fired up our Weber Q to grill a cornish hen that we love and 1/2 of an acorn squash for us to enjoy.
about an hour for the hen. and done
to perfection
this sure did the trick tonight
enjoying our chicken as usual
Supper done and checked for a sunset and yes it we very nice once again!
another wonderful sunset
Just another great day doing what we do best, enjoying this amazing lifestyle .
Thanks for stopping in and hope your day was wonderful as well.

  2. I am following the blog as you make your way to the Southwest.
Very interesting and informative, especially the window fix you just had.

The blueberry muffin breads look so good. Do you have a pizza stone or something similar on the bottom of your propane oven?
It seems that everything you bake in there comes out perfectly, with no problems of temperature.
Do you set the oven temperature the same as you would if you were in a sticks and bricks home?
I am always hesitant to use my oven because I think the temperature would be not accurate.
Thanks George, you always give good advice.

    1. I have always used our oven in this coach and our other one, On the bottom I have some tin foil covering the bottom above the burner leaving a couple of inches on each side to that the heat goes around and not directly straight up. Also when baking I put the rack up higher, works really well. and I use the same setting as a regular oven. I don't know if it is accurate, but just check when I think things will be ready, works for me.

  7. I don't think those covers would help in a tornado.

    1. I have heard that they help somewhat, but also help with the sun and heat in the summer.
