Earl morning warm rain, putter around enjoy this great weather while we can.

Where are we today ?
clic a pic to enlarge it
No complaints here about weather 58 f over night and 60f at 5 am. cloud cover this morning. So I simmered a large pot of chicken bones to make some, broth while I went shopping for a few supplies. Home before noon then mostly sunshine and did get up to 76 f mid afternoon. Yup this we really like at least for another day or 2. So between a few walkabouts and enjoying our readers outside in the shade was a perfect afternoon. A little chilly in the shade still wonderful (heck it is only 76F).
After a light lunch (will make soup tomorrow). Chatted with a few neighbours and Suzie got her doggie fix as well. Here I am in a t-shirt puttering around and Suzie with a jacket on, just reading in the shade with a 8 mph breeze. But she got her doggie fix, fresh air and reading done.
nice doggie fix
One of the things I wanted to do was replace some caulking  on our coach, And in the sun it was very warm a good time to do it. So with Suzie's help the old caulk was removed , cleaned up and  new caulking  done. 8 years ago was the last time I did this and it was due.
this cleaned up real nice, good for a few more years
some clouds but mostly sunny all afternoon
it is spring and Robins everywhere
right behind us the Sailboat bridge into Grove
Soon time to whip up supper. Tonight a couple salmon fillets on our Weber Q to go with our tasty salad.
sure hit the spot
When we were at the casino for lunch yesterday chatted with our waiter. He works there as well as the Grove fire department. Really nice fellow. Suzie ask him why they come to the campground when there is a tornado warning. His reply" much easier to move everyone into the shelter, than dig through the wreckage looking for bodies". Hey makes sense to us for sure, nice that they do this here. In all our years coming here only needed to go there once for an hour and that was last year, We know how to be prepared.
yup we here. as we have many been many times in the past
We have seen much in this area and nice that we can go back on our blog to enjoy them again and again.
Back In November 2013 I did another visit to Darryl Starbird's  Hot Rod and Custom Car Museum with a good friend Rob Aljoe, for that posting you can click HERE some amazing cars he has created and are on display . With this visit we actually got to meet Darryl in person. What a nice fellow he is and even showed us his workshop where he builds these beauties.
the Big T
Now here we are outside reading and posting this blog almost 7:30pm, clear skies and very comfortable. We will take if for another few days before we leave. Looking at rain for the next 2 but we will see. Still gonna be pretty warm though. Anything else we wanna do? We very happy right here. We have seen a lot touring around  here in the last 11 years.
Glad y'all stopped by for a peek and hope you had a great day as well.

Where have we been this Winter

  6. Tornado alley...We are watching because to get home their is no choice but to head north skirting it the whole way. As you are well aware from your years of making the trek north and east the tornadoes do not stay there but head across the mid section of the US to the east so there is no way around.
Continued sunny or at least partly sunny skies and stay safe.

    1. No matter where we go south in the winter we will hit part of it on the way home. Just take it in stride, be prepared and hope for the best. So far today is perfect again.
