Where are we today
clic on a a pic to enlarge it
Just another wonderful day here in the desert dirt. 46 f this morning at 5 am but when the sun came up about 7 it warmed up to around 70f, now that is just wonderful.
Got a nice walkabout around the area for a couple miles Then about 8 o'clock I hopped in the car to pick up a few supplies in Blythe California , 15 miles down the road. Just want to beat the Thanksgiving rush and shopping crowds.
Wonderful sunrise right here
Dome rock about a mile west of where
we are parked
After the early morning shopping we have no where else we need to go, There will be traffic everywhere on the highway. So a nice light lunch and relax in the shade, Get some more quality reading time in.
New book today William Bernhart Capitol Conspiracy Book number 44 of the 3 hundred that Suzie had downloaded for me. I have a long way to go. Only have read 576 hours so far looking forward to many more.
After reading for a bit I had an urge to get my wood carving out. Its been a while and have a few major cravings on the go. It is nice here in the desert my arthritis does not bother me too much and my hands can use the knives. I enjoyed  a couple hours working on some figures that will take many more hours to complete.
carvings I have on the go
wood chips all around,
now I can read bit more
the scenery here is what we enjoy
and the wide open spaces
At 3:30 our friends John and Barb dropped in for Happy Hour, we chatted for a while, enjoyed their company and the dogs as well, Hank and Piper.
When they headed home I fired up our Weber Q as the sun was beginning to set.
Tonight I am gonna grill a tuna steak for me and fish burger for Suzie to add to our tasty salad, Suzy is not crazy about the Tuma steak
yup tasty
love a rare tuna steak on the grill
That was it for our day, how was your's?
            Thanks for stopping by.

  1. I just told Paul that he needs to get his carving stuff out. Hope he makes some nice stuff while I am off to Ohio.

  3. I forgot that I'd bought a couple of tuna steaks from the fish monger last week. Yours look so good on the grill, we'll fix them that way. But not tonight... we're invited to a potluck Thanksgiving dinner ;-)
