Moving down the road and a very scenic drive today, plus a doggie fix as well.

Where are we today ?

Starting out early with a wonderful, cool sunny morning but its gonna be a hot one. Got a few nice walkabouts done, then began securing our coach to hit the road again. Been here for 2 weeks and we really wanna go, cause that's what we do and enjoy.
Did not leave until 10:45 this morning. We wanted to have showers before we left and have a full fresh water tank as well. But the water was shut off for a bit while they repaired a water main leak. No problem we don't have far to go. or so we thought. Two seasons here in Ontario, winter and construction.
Taking the quiet back roads we came across a detour by Thorndale. So we followed that, gonna take us to the east end on London, then Dundas st to Woodstock. Well another detour by pass Woodstock. So it it took us a bit longer but we sure had a nice scenic route, Some roads we have never been on and some many years ago. What the heck it was a wonderful country drive and all paved roads.
enjoying the farm country here and no traffic
kinda roundabout but a nice country drive
Molly is Buddies mum
We still arrived here in Plattsville (Camp Awesome) and set up before 1 pm.  And were treated with the dogs being here, Molly and Buddy, have not seen them for a while.
They  knew we were here and managed to sneak out of their yards and sit under our awning. Major doggie fixes for Suzie.
Well it was a hot humid day after setting up so a nice refreshing dip in John's pool. Sure is nice to cool down like that and again not crowded here at all.
this is camp awesome
Now the dogs settled right in and Suzie did manage to give Buddy and good brushing, not done yet but we will have more time.
Buddy getting brushed
Molly always likes a chin rub
Then time for me to whip up supper, tonight a small pork loin roast, our last 2 cobs of corn to go with a salad. Just before supper is ready Suzie takes them for a RUN, they love to run. That white building in the distance is halfway back to the end of the 5 acres so they do get in a good run.
The roast only about 20 minutes or so 150f internal temp, and the corn until its warm 20-30 minutes, all done low and slow on our Weber Q 100.
Just added a salad, some sauerraut
and some grapes sure did the trick
and leftovers for lunches
Now still enjoying a wonderful summer evening outside, no bugs, the dogs beside us and so quiet, this is the life. Getting close to 9 o'clock soon time to head inside.
Thanks for taking the time to stop by and make a comment if you are so inclined.

  1. I'm beginning to think Suzie is a dog lover... ;c)

  2. Sometimes those back road detours can be the best journeys ever. With a pool and doggies waiting - not a bad set up.

    1. It was a nice leisurely drive and saw some new scenery. And of course the pool and doggies is a bonus.

  6. I used to hate construction delays, but after seeing the condition of our roads, I'm fine with road improvement delays, especially re-surfacing (I-70 thru CO needs it bad)

    1. We don't mind them when in our coach, and yes the resurfacing is really nice.
