Sunrise, sunset amazing, frost this morning, hockey fun, family fun and sunshine. Happy Thanksgiving for our Canadian friends.

Where are we today ?
What a wonderful morning sunrise today right through our kitchen window.
But it was cold at the same time frost on the car windows again! Hmm. need to get my ice scraper out. But gonna be a sunny day so we will enjoy it when we are outside.
But our outside time today is limited, Grandson Number one hockey practice in town 10 am.
Number 0ne getting better all,the time
Back home at 11 for an early lunch and walkabout.
nice view across the corn fields out back
Now back for Grandson number 4 has a Hockey game at 12 noon. Excellent game and they tied 2-2.
More lovely fall colors right in town here.
Back home I worked on the Broccoli salads I am taking for Sunday and Monday to family functions for our Canadian Thanksgiving feasts.
Suzie's sister Rose was cooking 2-9 lb chickens for Sunday as I suggested we cook ahead of time and I will carve them and be ready to serve (like I did in my restaurant) at the rented room we have for her mom and Dad's family.
cool the birds, debone carve them up and with
my special process they will be served
tomorrow just like they came out of the oven
all done today and we can enjoy our time tomorrow
no fuss
Me all done and they insisted we stay for supper! What the heck we enjoy our time with them even if it's 2 times in less than a week. So Ross prepped some huge shrimp for his very large Weber BBQ and we cut an acorn squash with maple syrup to add to a salad.
gotta love cooking on a Weber,
shrimp and squash
what a feast once again
good friends and a great meal
Now heading back home an excellent sunset,
winding up another perfect fall day
Glad you stopped by and hope you are having a great weekend. Its a long weekend here in Canada our Canadian Thanksgiving.  Bonus for us we gonna cross the border soon and celebrate all over again with our American friends next month.

  1. It has been a long time since I have had ice on my windshield. It has been rare indeed since I moved to the Houston, Texas area.

  2. We haven't had the frost yet and not looking forward to it.
Our grandson Tyler is away with his family this weekend so there's no hockey.
We'll get together with the kids for our celebration on Monday.
You're making us jealous that you are leaving soon and we're staying. Guess you made up for it last winter when you had to put up with the cold winter.
    Be Safe and Enjoy!

    It's about time.

    1. It was a family pot luck, I did the broccoli salad, and we too tomato and apple juice.
Ross and Ross cooked the chicken and I carved them up.
The shrimp were just thawed and basted with garlic and butter, and done on the BBQ in the foil pan, until done, excellent.
