Saturday, family camping for too much fun !

Where are we today ?

This is saturdays posting, had busy day yesterday

A bit overcast today, temps around 20c (68f) but no rain and thats a good thing. This afternoon we have daughter number2 and family coming here for a visit. Whippee we excited!!!  We have salads made, taters wrapped, burgers ready to grill, chairs out and good weather.
Right across from out site is a playground perfect for the kids to hang out and we can keep an eye on them to.
We grabbed some firewood from our friends Ron and Loree (thanks Guys!) relaxed outside, some snacks, chatted for a bit then fired up the Weber Q to grill the burgers. So a nice feast, burgers, baked taters, shrimp and salads etc.
Cleaned up and over to the indoor pool to splash around.
Then the indoor playground a fun place for climbing, crawling and a slide into the large pile of fun plastic balls.
burn off supper
Then back to enjoy our campfire.
That be Sophie, gonna be a hot dog ?
Nothing like enjoying a campfire with family and chatting.
Me  and Grandson number 1
Now whats a campfire without marshmallows and spider dogs? Sorry no s'mores.
marshmallows for desert
spider dogs are always fun too
grandson number 4 loves spider dogs
The day just flew on by, as did the evening, love these family get togethers especially in a campground and being outside. So by the time they left was a couple hours past our usual bedtime, there is just no way can I work my way through a blog posting and stay awake.
So Sunday morning while its raining I can do this inside. Thanks guys for the wonderful visit.
Thanks stopping in again, and hope you had a fun saturday too!
Check out the interactive map below to see where we have been this Spring and Summer.

    1. It was a perfect day. By cutting the dogs part way through and roast over an open fire, they look like spiders and have a new taste and texture, yummy !

  2. You can never have too much fun. That indoor playground is pretty spiffy. Nice for those rainy days. Hope your family didn't have too far to drive to get home.

    1. They still had a one hour drive, but hey they are young.
The kids enjoy that playground anytime.

  5. I sure wish I was up there with those 68 degree temps vs the low 90's here.

  6. It's always nice to spend time with family, especially when they are grandchildren. Glad you had great weather for it.

That is quite the campground for children, they shouldn't be bored there that's for sure!

    1. So much to do here, they did not have time for the wagon ride, mini golf, shuffle board, or fishing in the pond, They did ride their bikes around for quite a while too.
