Goodbye Florida, Hello Alabama.

Where are we today ?
A wonderful night again, windows open great for sleeping. Up about 5 am like usual, and got the early morning sunrise here right from our dining room window,
We are not in a hurry today just moving down the road a couple hours. So got our coffee's ,computing and walkabouts done at a leisurely pace. Around 10 am pulled in the slide and lifted our jacks. Stop by the dump station here and wandered on down to the road.
We actually stopped the at Goodwill store to check it out. I picked up 3 "new" t-shirts for ten bucks perfect, now I can get rid of 3 stained ones. The one in one out rule.
only 85 miles today
Over the causeway back onto the mainland. Emerald green water.
cruising the Emerald coast
Then we hopped on I-10 for a bit and crossed into Alabama again.
Alabama Here we are!
Stopped at the visitor centre picked up some info for Alabama, made a bite for lunch and just wandered on down the road to our new spot for the next week. We have been here many times and enjoy this campground, one of our membership resorts. We especially like meeting up with the managers that we connected with way back in 2006, Renea and Lamar such a supper couple. No matter what the campground they are at we have always found that the staff and management can make or break it. And we will go wherever they are.
all set up nice and cozy here
We actually got a chance to chat with Renea and Lamar for a bit,(they working still, its been a few years). Caught up with each other and really enjoyed a wonderful afternoon here.
Now with sun setting early got my night light out, fired up our Weber Q to grill a very tasty pork tenderloin, and heated up a can of creamed corn for Suzie and sauerkraut for me. Added to another wonderful salad and we are good to go for another fun day here in the sunny south.
our Weber does and great job
sure hit the spot today
That was our fun day just moving down the road a bit, slowly making our way out west. Gonna stop here for a week, because we can= cheap camping!
Thanks again for stopping by and hope you had decent weather no matter where you are.

  3. Your not too far from Foley, AL. I know Suzie isn't into shopping, but Foley has a huge outlet mall.
Enjoy the week with your friends.

    1. With a small house we only have so much room, so that needs to be done.

  7. Ahhh, you are in my favorite place. My dad lived there for about 13 years (Foley and Gulf Shores) Please wiggle your toes in the gorgeous sand for me!

  8. I like the one in - one out idea too. You are moving along at a nice, leisurely pace. And the temperatures are quite appealing.
