Sunshine, no wind, serviced our coach and friends show up, too much fun.

Where are we today ?
Did we have great day our what? Up early 4:30 am as usual get computing and stuff done, then when the sun rises walkabouts the resort enjoying the fresh cool air. Gotta love it!
Then  quick trip to town for a few things and back before 9:am.
While we are here can get our coach serviced at the Xpress Lube  in town. They have been servicing our coach twice a year when we are in the area, since 2006. They can do this service on a gas motorhome up to 12 ft high and no appointments necessary, excellent service. Last fall they pointed out an oil leak that we have and today showed me an issue with our rear brakes. They do not do this type of work here so cannot make any money with the repairs, that's what I call great service, love the small towns here.
Now back home for a bite to eat for lunch.
Then we checked out different campsites here and some that we may have wanted but our Verizon Mifi did not work on them. So think we will just stay here and deal with it. We can move about for sunshine and the wind is almost non existent today.
beautiful blue skies and lots of sites to choose from
After puttering around for a while doing stuff, decided to relax in the shade and enjoy my book with Suzie. Gotta stop at some point right? What's the rush?
Late afternoon noticed friends Ron and Loree pulled in a set up not far from us. Once they got set up they stopped on by for a nice get together and a quick "Happy hour" to get caught up.
they brought "Freddy" for Suzie's doggie fix
We had a nice social time then time to head back home, we can call it a day and see you guys tomorrow.
Loree, Ron and Freddy
Now time to fire up our Weber Q, grill a couple very tender bone in pork chops and more wonderful asparagus.
Also reheated some sweet potatoes with apples we made the other night and added a quick Hollandaise sauce to drizzle over the Asparagus. Thanks to Sharon for the suggestion.
sure was tasty
More fun in the sun and enjoying wonderful hot days.
Thanks for stopping on by, drop by for a "Social hour " anytime (3:30) is good.

  1. Just curious what time you go to bed. Getting up at 4:30 AM is pretty early, well at least for us.

  2. My time clock works best in Texas because at Texas time I usually start moving around about 6 AM or so. When we're back on the west coast it's 4 AM and that's way too early. Love asparagus with hollandaise sauce. That's one dish we have at most all of our special family events.

    1. You can set the time zones on your clock but not your body.

  4. If I'm up that early I'm either off to an airport (thankfully haven't done that in a while) or I've had to make a "visit", but then it's back to bed I go.
It's good to get a bunch of stuff done before the sun gets too high in the sky though.
Are you needing new pads for the rear brakes, or is there a wee bit of a fluid leak?

    1. There is a deep gouge in the rear rotor, no leaks, pads and callipers new couple years ago. Nothing too serious but will keep an eye on it and have it checked out when we get back to Ontario.

  5. Well, your coach is ready for the road with the service work done. Small towns can offers very good service and it seems you found a good spot for the work you need.
