A wonderful sunny day, and some electrical issues resolved.

Where are we today ?
Plattsville Ontario
Another great night for sleeping and a bright sunny morning. Blue skies and all is well, not too hot today.
The moon still in the sky

nice and quiet campsite
Putter around this morning and a nice walk down the road by the Nith river across the road, just enjoying another nice summer day.

River road
An afternoon cruise about town I stopped and chatted with a few neighbors that we have not seen for years get caught up then back to camp to relax with a book in the shade. But noticed when going in the coach a bit of a shock like static electricity. So I check our receptacle and found that there was a problem. It checked fine when we hooked up here last week. Told John and we checked out the breaker panel and diagnosed a wiring problem with the pool pump. Removed the pump and motor found the problem and fixed all the issues. Luckily he had an old pump with the good electrical fittings we needed and three hours later, pool pump, filter and wiring issue was fixed.

By now its 5:30 and time to fire up our Weber to grill a couple pork chops, reheat some mashed potatoes and nuke some carrots for another tasty supper.
Tasty
Now to relax outside for a bit and chat with Lea, finally home after a 4 day softball tournament in Hamilton in all this heat and no shade. They did have a lot of fun (thats what it's all about) but did not win.
Time to call in a night after another productive day in summertime Ontario.
Thanks for stopping by hope you had good day too!

  1. Wow...you are a jack of all trades! Can I give you a call the next time our pool pump goes?

  2. You didn't elaborate too much on what the "problem" was. Bad ground?
Getting from the breaker panel to the pool pump sounds like there was some power leaking?
Just nosey. (but hey, I might learn something)

    1. My tester showed a hot ground (not good). All the receptacles from the breaker panel in the pump house. By switching the breakers off one at a time we found when the pump was shut off the ground was normal on all other circuits. Removed pump and found connections fried, probably from a connection that came loose after 8 years.

  3. Good thing nobody got a bad poke from that bad connection. Be Safe and Enjoy!

    It's about time.

  4. Wonderful sunny days are sure better than rainy cloudy days but we don't want it too hot either. Perfect is just perfect. Good thing you knew what you were doing and got that wiring fixed.
