Sat Dec. 31st. New Years Eve!

Join us as we travel North America in our Holiday Rambler Vacationer,
 since August 2006

 Where are we Today ?

Yep we did it again finished up another Awesome year and getting ready for a new one. More new adventures, new sites to see, new people to meet, everything is new. Nobody has ever done these things in 2012 before and we look forward to experiencing exciting new adventures and we are all pioneers exploring the new technology of the new year. No real plans carved in stone, things can change at any given moment and we may turn left instead of right, go north instead of south, east or west, stop instead of going who knows? The beauty of our lifestyle, turn the key and go follow the sun, we are so lucky to have the health to do it.

Today was another great sunny, blue skies, very warm kinda day. Relax putter around, chat with neighbors, walkabouts, check out the swap meet by the upper pool and clubhouse, read in the sun and shade, discuss travel possibilities and even had a little nap in the afternoon. We want to go to the New's Years Eve Dance at the clubhouse and it doesn't start until 9 pm, heck we are usually asleep by then, not used to these late nights anymore. Probably because we are usually up long before the sunrise (best part of the day in our opinion).

So after a great day I fired up the Weber and grilled some chicken thighs, and homemade fries in our Fry Daddy, celery and carrot sticks for a tasty supper, then read for a bit and get ready for the dance.

Put on my best shorts, good sandals, and a shirt with buttons and a collar, Suzie, beautiful as ever, is ready to party. Oh and I left my hat and vest at home (felt naked!)
lets party!
Sure is nice to be able to walk to functions in the campground. For many years we had functions in Plattsville and were only a block or two from either the town hall or the arena. There could be 20 cars in the parking lot but over 200 people at the dances. Tonight is limited to 100 people so it was a great time.

We got together a table of 14, and set out all our snacks to share, chatted, carried on and danced to a good variety of music. A keyboard and one man sang non stop for three hours keeping the party going.

Well we made it to midnight, dancing, snacking and chatting nonstop like the music. Then at midnight, the champagne was flowing, hugs, kisses handshakes and wishing everyone a Happy New Year !

Thanks for becoming a follower, we do enjoy your writing and pictures of southern Arizona. And yes much better weather than Punkeydoodle Corners back home.

  3. Looks like you had a great evening. I recognize some of the faces in your photos as being people that we follow. I really do see a visit to that campground in our (near) future!
