Thurs. Nov 10, A quiet Day

Join us as we travel North America in our Holiday Rambler Vacationer,
 since August 2006

This morning was cooler but not raining so a nice walkabout the resort. That at first glance it looks really good, the Yogi Bear themes, bright colours and activity buildings all look impressive. A large resort with just about everything you can think of for kids.         The paddle boats, canoes, lakes, beaches, pools, splash pads, mini golf, video game rooms restaurants, snack bars, even the washrooms all look impressive but do need a lot of TLC. Ok it is off season and pretty quiet, (nothing is open) not much happening except all these golf carts, driven by staff zooming by all day long but don't seem to stop and do anything. Sure glad we are not here in the busy season.

But the campsites are large, 30 or 50 amp cement parking pad and patio oh did I mention its a membership park for $10.00 a night, expensive for us, the majority of our nights in a year are free. It's very rare that we pay more than that.

Now a couple more walkabouts, puttering around and computing, chat with a few neighbours, then after lunch we found a sunny spot out of the wind to sit outside and enjoy our books. Until it got cool, shade from the trees about 4 pm . I decided to cook supper inside tonight it's too dark and cool out there, we will have quite a few more of these before winter is over. I whipped  up delicious baked salmon filets, rice pilaf and fresh baked buttermilk biscuits (thanks to the Pillsbury Dough Boy).
tasty supper
Then cozy warm we chatted and read for a while and a bit of tv before calling it a night. Life is good!
