Sat. Aug.14th, 2010 Arkona Ontario.

Join us as we travel North America in our Holiday Rambler Vacationer, since August. 2006

We have a few other RV friends that have busy and exciting lives. One couple sold their home and bought a new to them and much large coach and still work in the summer months. Then another couple work in the summer as well, she had a bad car accident but is recovering nicely, (now has a real sweet BMW convertible), then gets a bee sting on her tongue while enjoying a glass of wine. The links to their Blogs are in the right column. I guess in comparison our lives seem pretty quiet, but we enjoy it immensely and would not have it any other way. Friends, family, traveling and even a few quiet days once in a while if we are lucky.

Another hot humid day you could almost cut the air with a knife. But I can still enjoy this, more so than a lot of people. Off to the store and putter around a bit then Bill, Barb and Kim arrived from Clarence New York. They set up down in the valley beside John and Wendy and we chatted for quite a while.

John and Wendys' daughter Chelsea arrived with her boyfriend Kevin and they were off to the beach for a swim. We have not seen Chelsea for about 4 years. The rest of us sat around and relaxed, read and I even went for swim in the pool and a soak in the hot tub.  Then we decided to move our coach into the valley closer to these guys, (it was quite a walk back and forth).

After a 30 minute move and resetup we all gathered around for Happy Hour. Now much closer to the action we were able to  slip home for a nice supper of Tialpia (fish) baked with garlic butter, a rice pilaf and tossed salad. (is that less calories Contessa?)
Back to Bill and Barbs after supper, we admired their Pink Flamingo Patio lights while a nice campfire was started and John set up his bar with Tequila Poppers and Margaritas.

As the night progressed quickly, lots of stories and laughs and even s'mores for some of those who needed a few extra calories. Then eventually time to turn in and rest up for another a great day.
